The 2009-10 Duke Blue Devils are a very difficult team to read. On paper, they seem to have more in common with the teams that made surprisingly early exits from March Madness in 2007 and 2008 than the dominant Mike Krzyzewski teams that were perennial title contenders in the 1990s and early 2000s -- too much perimeter play, not enough athleticism, over-reliance on the jump shot...
On the other hand, the Devils have spend the entire season atop the ACC standings...
and even in a down year for North Carolina, winning that conference is an impressive accomplishment.
