Few Sessions Focus on Balance -"Mixed Martial Arts" Training

How soon things change. It seems like yesterday we were talking about how fast the fan base for NASCAR was growing. "Mixed Martial Arts" training is tough. There is no doubt about it and one of the hardest things to do is build genuine strength. You are using your muscles to push against something immovable generally. Also, in boxing the round system doesn't really hurt because you're always on your feet whereas in MMA a round can end when a fighter is very close to finishing. Everyone has at least herd of the UFC, one of the issues some MMA fans have is that a majority of the people that watch the UFC have only herd of  and have no idea about other origination's or fighters not in the UFC. It is easily becoming one of the fastest growing sports in America. Most people think of water sports like surfing when they think of a rash guard. Martial Artists wanted to prove that their style of fighting was the best. The basic strategy was to fight your opponent where you are strongest. Something I want to point out here. We are not talking about doing traditional bodybuilding.

Why would you bother doing such an exercise in "Mixed Martial Arts" where the action is dynamic and all of your moves are based around movement? MMA is a mixture of several types of fighting. It is part Jujitsu, part Judo, boxing, and Mui Thai. It is considered to be a full contact sport. Since you most likely won't be doing any MMA training or competing in the water, staying warm isn't a problem. Some BJJ fighters would take down their opponent and not establish position control. My idea of a sport is testing one's ability at accomplishing a specific skill. They are more aware of the risks they take and should be able to ply their crafted wherever they want. "Mixed martial arts" training drills usually focus mainly on the development of speed and power, but very few sessions focus on balance. "Mixed martial arts" training drills usually focus mainly on the development of speed and power, but very few sessions focus on balance. Balance can spell the critical difference between winning and losing. Primary styles which are used in MMA include boxing, "Muay Thai, kickboxing", wrestling, "Brazilian ju-jitsu", judo and karate.

In the case the skill is fighting. Unfortunately, too many people have a misconception about MMA because of the lack knowledge about the sport. The idea was to see which style of fighting was the best. What we found after a couple of these UFC's was that no one style was truly the best style.
