How to Write a Resume Without a College Degree

    • 1). List your education experience. For example, if you have gone to a community college for one year or even six months, list that on your resume. Any attempt at education factors into your education level, regardless of whether you have a degree.

    • 2). Format your resume so your work experience is highlighted. For instance, downplay your education by putting it at the bottom of the page so the first thing your potential employer sees is a recent job using skills that would be valuable in your potential job situation.

    • 3). List skills you have gained even if you did learn them in a formal college environment. For instance, if you have knowledge of Microsoft software, add that you are proficient in the Microsoft Suite. This shows you exhibit creativity in learning, even outside a structured educational environment.
