- 1). Research your neighborhood bylaws and your local town or city ordinances, as they may require that permits are attained prior to doing any work.
- 2). Select the area that you want to place the playhouse. This will need to be a level area that is located away from the street.
- 3). Measure the area. Make sure that you allow for the area to extend approximately 1' wider on all sides.
- 4). Select the material that you will be using. Two of the most common materials used are Crushed stone and Concrete Pad.
- 5). Prepare the ground. Either dig out approximately 4" of soil and add the stone, filling the area with stone until it is ground level, or frame the area using 4" x 4" boards and fill the framed area with stone until it is level with the top of the frame.
