- Marshall's reputation was forged by the roar of its powerful valve amps. The company's current flagship all-valve JVM range is based on the EL34 valve designs that made them famous. JVMs range from the deluxe 410H head ($2,559 MSRP) to the portable 205C combo ($2,400 MSRP). A cheaper range of all-valve amps, the MA series, was launched in 2009.
- Marshall also manufacture budget Valvestate amplifiers. These affordable amps emulate the classic Marshall valve sound, but actually are powered by solid state transistor technology. The current AVT Tribute series ranges from the small 20-watt 20XT to the 150HXT stack.
- Although most famous for their guitar amps, Marshall also manufactures amps for bassists. For the professional musician, the 400-watt VBA amp is powered by no less than 12 valves and can be matched to a VBC cabinet, in either 4-by-12-inch or 8-by-10-inch form. The less costly MB range caters for those practicing at home or playing smaller stages.
