- 1). Disconnect the unit's power supply before working on its electronics to avoid electrocution and/or damaging the unit.
- 2). Open the unit. To do this, unscrew the three mounting screws for the top cover, then remove the cover.
- 3). Remove the old temperature probe. It will be connected by two snap-in leads. They can be tugged out of their sockets.
- 4). Snap in the new temperature probe. There will be two leads that easily snap into their sockets. No solder is required. As part of the user-friendly design, it does not matter which lead goes into which socket.
- 5). Run the wires over the top of the top side of the switch. This will keep them from interfering with the switch.
- 6). Place the top cover back on the unit and screw in place.
