Flying is not the great thrill that people make it out to be, you have to go through all the process of packing your things, you have to wait at the check in desk, you also have to wait on the plane before take off, then there is the long flight cooped up in the plane, you may even have a fear of flying.
Although it may seem an arduous task preparing for your flight and the journey in hand, there are a few things that you could do to improve your flying experience.
Only try to pack what you really need to take with you, why pack all that extra luggage that you may never use, it can be such a hassle carrying all those packed suitcases, especially when you are not going to use everything inside them.
If you on a short haul journey or just on a business trip, why not try to get everything that you need in your hand luggage, this way you will not need to wait at baggage control after your flight to pick up your luggage, this can sometimes take quite a while.
If it is appropriate try to take snacks with you for your flight, most airlines today have dispensed with the in-flight food, so it may be a good idea to bring your own or eat before you fly.
The services that do give you an in-flight meal tend to charge quite a bit for these now, and they are not normally that good, there are always café's and restaurants at the airport that you could buy a meal from before your flight, and they have a wider choice than the in-flight meals.
It may be a good idea to go to the public conveniences before you board your flight, sometimes you may have to wait up to an hour or so after take off before you can leave your seat to use the ones on the plane.
If it is possible bring a small pillow with you on the flight, this may help you to rest a little better once the flight is underway.
