How to Plan a FREE Trip for Senior Citizens

    • 1). Senior Citizens want and need to get out of their houses and stay active. They enjoy trips and socializing with other people. Here is one suggestion of a FREE trip for Senior Citizens which is interesting, educational and historic that you can take no matter where you live.

    • 2). Go online and look up the hours of your State Capitol. Historic tours are interesting, educational and FREE. Call ahead to sign up for a guided tour, or do a self-guided walking tour once you get there. Most people have not been in their State Capitol since they were in elementary school if at all.

As a taxpayer you own that building, all the antiques and history it holds. Enjoy it!

    • 3). Take along a sack lunch for you and your family/friends. All of the Capitols have beautiful grounds with huge shade trees or designated areas where you can picnic if you would like. Also ask about the Archives building and any other historic FREE tours such as the Governor's Mansion.

    • 4). Enjoy the history and heritage of your state and take great pride in it. You will be amazed how much you will enjoy this FREE trip! You will also get some exercise in the process and learn something too.
