One of the most common questions I get from people JUST getting started with the exciting ambitions of entrepreneurship is about the EASE of working from home.
The simple truth is that I've been self employed since barely a year out of college.
I've had some sensational success, and some ferocious failures to boot.
I've had an office of 12 employees, and I've worked from a corner cubicle in the back of kitchen.
(and have repeated this cycle MORE than once) With this in mind, if you are JUST getting started online, or working from home, or even JUST starting to think about working for yourself, these are the 2 keys, that in MY experience portend to being happy and successful.

Key #1: Belief In Yourself If we're being honest, most people are missing this primary ingredient in just about EVERY area of their lives.
You don't need to be a snob to be successful.
You don't need to be arrogant, obnoxious or elitist either.
You DO need to believe in yourself.
Your journey.
Your destiny.
Your entitlement and responsibility to control your contribution is the central piece of passion - and without it, you'll never get, or go far.
Key #2: Be Fearless ( or at least pretend you are) This is HUGELY important, and I only have so much space here, but you must NOT be afraid to fail.
You really need to have guts in equal proportion to brains, and this is very rare these days for sure.
On a deeper level this is ALL about perspective, and TRUE wisdom.
Nothing great was ever achieved by accident, and if you aren't willing to stand a bit in the storm and whistle a bit through the graveyard, you AREN'T going to be very successful.
( or have much fun getting there either!) Most of the MOST successful people I know have FAR more money than brains, but the one common ingredient they share is a tolerance (or disregard) of the deleterious effects of cowering in the corner of life, rather than stepping out, and UP to bigger and better things!
