Tone Love Handles - How To Get A Small Waist

Toning your love handles or getting a small waist is not as hard as it seems. You just have to be smart about it. You have to be getting the proper amount of nutrients from your diet and performing the correct amount of cardiovascular exercise and resistance training exercise. There are many variables that go into these programs, but Im just going to be giving you a basic outline that will work for mostly everyone. Please, if you have a special case, I cannot write a specific workout and diet routine for you as I am swamped daily with emails and training clients.

Diet:

Meal 1: P+C

Meal2: P+C

Meal3: P+C

Meal 4: P+F

Meal 5: P+F

Meal 6: P+F

This type of eating I have adopted from Dr. John Berardi with fantastic results. The basis of it is consume some type of protein in every meal and only consume carbs the first half of the day and fat the last half of the day. Research shows that you are more insulin sensitive in the morning than at night. Basically, your body needs the carbs. When your body doesnt need the carbs, they get stored as body fat. In terms of what carbs to eat, only go for oatmeal, fruit such as berries or apples, beans, and rye bread.

For fat meals, eat tons of veggies. Feel free to add olive to your P+F meals too in each meal if you desire. Eat plenty of fish such as salmon, mackerel, or herring and have grass fed beef as well. This is a very simple diet, but one that works beautifully for my clients and should work great for you too.

Exercise: Perform at least 2-5 sessions of cardio and weight training workouts a week. You can combine them both going 30 minutes per clip totaling 1 hour of exercise each time. With weight training, do a quick total body workout, pushing yourself, moving from machine to machine until the 30 minutes are up. Take as little break as needed in between sets. For cardio, try and perform some type of anaerobic work such as sprint intervals on the treadmill, bike, or elliptical. In the long run, this will burn more body fat and give a nice toned, lean, look.
