- Coloring and activity books can provide hours of enjoyment. The Internet has many websites with free coloring pages with Curious George images you can print for free. Sit with your child to look at all the ones available and choose the ones he would like to color. Don't forget to look at the activity pages too. You will find connect the dots, color by number and many different activities he will enjoy.
- Tracing is a wonderful way to improve your child's drawing skills and his creativity. Follow the instructions above to print out some coloring pages or choose a picture from a Curious George book you already have at home. Choose coloring pages with single images such as just an image of George or The Man in the Yellow Hat. Make sure the lines are thick. You can also print out images such as a tree or a house. Ask him which individual image he would like to place on his tracing paper or white sheet of paper first. Take that image to the window first and have him trace it on his sheet of paper. Then ask him which image he would like to add to his sheet. Take that image to the window and he can trace that. Piece by piece he will create his own picture.
- Get two pieces of construction paper: brown and beige. Print out an image of Curious George and cut him out. Have your child use a pencil to trace the outside of him on the brown construction paper and cut him out. You can then cut out a Curious George face on the print out you made and have your child trace the outside of the face on the beige construction paper and cut that out. Have your child glue the face on the brown construction paper. Then have your child cut out hands and feet by doing the same thing (tracing the hands and feet after you've cut them from your printout) and gluing them to George's body. Have him finish with a marker to make his eyes and smile. You can attach a wooden craft stick to the back of the George cutout if you want to create a Curious George stick puppet.
- Print out a sitting Curious George. Have your child color the Curious George and then either you or him cut him out. Take an empty toilet paper roll and glue the roll to the middle of George so that each side of his body is free. Try to stand him up. You might have to bend the bottom of his legs towards the back to give him support to sit or stand, if the image is of him standing.
