- 1). Unload the CA M15 A4 to prevent unexpected discharge.
- 2). Clean the CA M15 A4 rifle with a degreasing soap, using a damp sponge. Rinse the military rifle, using fresh damp rags. Let the CA M15 A4 dry for an hour.
- 3). Abrade every portion of the CA M15 A4 you plan to paint to enhance the rifle's adhesive qualities. Sand the CA M15 A4 until it feels rough.
- 4). Cover parts of the military rifle that are to remain unpainted, using painter's masking tape. Roll a piece of masking paper into a ball and lodge it into the barrel of the gun. Set the weapon on a canvas drop cloth.
- 5). Coat one side of the military rifle with acrylic spray primer. Encourage a slick finish by maintaining eight inches between the CA M15 A4 and the spray tip. Wait an hour before turning the rifle over. Prime the other side in the same manner. Let the CA M15 A4 dry for two hours.
- 6). Coat one side of the military rifle with acrylic spray enamel. Maintain eight inches between the CA M15 A4 and spray tip. Wait an hour before turning the rifle over. Finish the other side in the same manner. Remove all painter's tape after 30 minutes to prevent unwanted peeling. Let the CA M15 A4 dry for two hours.
