- The materials that you'll need to make wineglass tags are construction paper in different colors, a decorative hole punch, a 1/8-inch hole punch, twine, and a pen.
This craft is simple to make and is perfect to use when you have guests to help them keep track of their wine glasses. You can make this craft using a decorative hole punch of your choice or by using more than one decorative hole punch to create tags of different shapes. Keep in mind that you should choose designs that are large enough to write your guests' names on. First, punch the designs on construction paper. Make more than you need in case you have unexpected visitors. Next, punch a hole using the 1/8-inch hole punch close to the top of the pieces you've punched out. Thread the twine through the hole and tie it around the stem of the wine glass. You can write the name of your guest on the tag either before or after you've attached it to the wine glass. - To make a paper luminary, you'll need two paper bags of the same size but different colors, scalloped scissors, a decorative craft punch, gravel, and a votive candle.
Choose one paper bag and trim about 1-1/2 inches off of the top using the scalloped scissors. If you don't have scalloped scissors, you can use plain scissors to cut a scallop pattern. While keeping the bag closed, use a decorative craft punch of your choice to punch a repetitive pattern along the top of the bag. You can also choose to use more than one decorative punch or do a border by punching along the sides of the bag. Next, cut half an inch from the top of the other paper bag. Open both paper bags and place the bag that wasn't punched inside the punched bag. To add weight to keep the bag in place, pour gravel into the inner bag then place a votive candle in the center of the gravel. When you light the candle, the light will show through the unpunched bag and highlight the pattern that you punched out in the outer bag. - To make a birthday greeting card, you'll need a cupcake paper punch, card stock, construction paper in different colors, glitter or glass beads, and glue.
Fold the card stock either in half or into quarters, depending on how large you want the card to be. Next, use the cupcake paper punch to punch out different colored cupcakes from the construction paper. You can use colors such as pink, brown, light blue and purple but any color you prefer will do. Use a glue stick or white glue to stick the cupcakes on the front of the card stock in any design that you wish. You may want to create a pyramid of cupcakes or use the cupcakes to create a border. If the cupcake punch that you use separates the top and bottom of the cupcake, mix and match colors when gluing the cupcakes. To add more depth to the card, top the cupcakes with glitter or very small glass beads.
