So many people think that they can build a fanpage, and will be able to instantly attract a host of fans to their page using simple one click options.
In reality, one of the most often used methods of attracting fans is one of the worst ways you will attract them.
Did you know that the biggest mistake you can make when you setup your fanpage is to use the suggest to friends button.
WHY? Because when you do this all you are doing is sending out a link to your business page to everyone on your friends list and it will get completely lost in the pile of other Facebook page invites that they receive everyday.
Think about it, do you look at all the page invites or suggestions people send you? No, neither does anyone else, not unless the page is about a big brand or well know celebrity that everyone wants to go and join.
Facebook, themselves, removed the suggest to friends link from pages just a short while ago and everyone was distraught and wanted to know how to use code that would allow them to put this button and option back onto their pages.
In reality you don't need to because it just does not work! So Facebook have actually done you a favour by removing the link.
The invite friends button gives you absolutely no chance to tell people what the benefits of joining your page are, why they would want to join your page, or what they will get if they come and join you - those are the key factors and key influencers that will attract people to your page and encourage them to click that like button.
Ok, so inviting all your friends in one click doesn't work, what can you do instead, that really does work? Obviously there are many ways to really attract people to your page, add value and create a buzz, which I show you in my free videos and complete programmes, but here is one quick link that you can utilise to invite people to your page; The share button - when you use the share button you are able to add a comment to your link, and this is where you begin to connect with people and encourage them to come to yoru page.

I am sure you can think of many more great compelling comments to encourage people to come to your Facebook page and click the like button, these are just a few examples to help you get your creative juices flowing.
And of course, when they get to your page, you want to have a strong and appealing default welcome tab that they land on too, that gives them even more reason to feel excited and want to click that like button.
