How to Close the Tabs on a Ryobi Drill Box

    • 1). Open the Ryobi drill box, and lay it flat on the table before you. The two halves of the box are equal in depth; however, the top of the box is considered the half that has the orange, black, blue or red locking tabs attached to it. Two tabs are located either on the sides of the box or on the front of the box by the handle.

    • 2). Place all of the drill components back into the bottom of the Ryobi drill box in the molded compartments designed for them. If you are storing a Ryobi hammer drill, unscrew the handle and spin it down so it is at a 90-degree angle to the body of the drill before placing it in the box.

    • 3). Close the top of the Ryobi drill box onto the bottom half so that the small "lip" molded into each half of the box near the locking tabs comes together. Slide the tabs forward over the molded lips of the two halves to lock the box together.
