How to Tell If Your Child Has ADHD

    • 1). Try to notice if your child is having trouble paying attention or is easily distracted. Children with ADHD tend to have a very short attention span. This can lead to problems when it comes to doing homework and focusing on school.

    • 2). Pay attention to your child's body language. If they always seem to be fidgety or constantly moving this can be a sign. In most, but not all cases, children with ADHD have trouble sitting still. Maybe they will all of the sudden jump up and run around or maybe it will just be a constant bouncing knee.

    • 3). Determine if your child has trouble following requests and staying on task. Adhd makes it very hard for kids to listen to adults and remember what they are told. Their minds are constantly racing at what seems like a million miles an hour. If your child is demonstrating any of these symptoms I recommend getting them tested for ADHD by your doctor.
