The newer models of the Chevy Camaro, 2010 and 2011, have a number of options and features that make them more comfortable cars to drive, as well as flashy, attractive sports cars. Certain specifications come on all new models of Chevy Camaro's audio systems, ranging from speakers to CD players to options that allow the car's sound system to be upgraded. - All newer model Chevy Camaros come with a standard audio system--RDS satellite audio systems that have elemental antennas so they will work in all conditions. The audio system also has a CD player, which plays all formats of CDs, even MP3 CDs. MP3 players can be easily installed by plugging them into cigarette lighters or having them custom installed so they are fully integrated into the car's interior.
- The newer models of Chevy Camaros have six speakers. Two large speakers are installed in the back seat area and two large speakers are installed in each front door. Small tweeter speakers are also installed in the front seats above the larger speakers in the door along the frame of the car. The speakers are made by Boston Acoustic and deliver a loud, deep surround sound.
- Like many other cars of its class, the Chevy Camaro's audio system can easily be modified to be bigger and bolder then the factory-installed system. Boston Acoustic speakers can be replaced by larger, more expensive speakers, a subwoofer can be installed in the back seat and a custom faceplate for the radio and CD player can be purchased. These features are more expensive to purchase and install, but may be worth it to Camaro owners who are audiophiles.
