- English primrose grows low to the ground. Their flowers may be yellow, orange, pink, blue or purple, but every one has a yellow eye in the center. The flowers are clustered in groups on stocks that may be as little as 6 inches above their wreath of evergreen leaves.
- The Garden Helper website recommends that you plant English primrose in an area with full sun in the spring and partial shade through the summer. The soil should drain well and have a pH balance of 6.5.
- The Plant Press recommends that you plant English primroses as a flower border, under a hedge, on a grassy bank or under fruit trees. They will provide an important source of nectar for bees until other plants begin to bloom.
