- 1). Wash the Fisher-Price Power Wheels riding toy with dish soap, using a coarse sponge. Rinse the riding toy with wet rags. Wait two to four hours for the toy to dry.
- 2). Promote adhesion by abrading plastic portions of the Power Wheels riding toy with sandpaper. Scour the plastic until it feels slightly rough.
- 3). Cover portions of the Power Wheels toy you do not want painted with masking paper, plastic coverings and professional painter's tape. Roll the toy onto heavy-duty fabric drop cloths.
- 4). Coat the abraded riding toy with acrylic latex primer, using a paintbrush, manufactured for use with water-based coatings. Wait four hours for the primed Power Wheels toy to dry.
- 5). Wash the brush with water.
- 6). Coat the primed riding toy with an acrylic enamel, using the clean paintbrush. Wait six hours before operating the Power Wheels toy.
