- 1). Empty the lint trap after every load. While this step seems simple, it is often overlooked, which not only leads to wet loads of laundry but also presents a very real fire hazard.
- 2). Clean out as much of the dryer venting tunnel as possible once a year or more often. Some lint from bulkier items will get passed through the lint trap and remain clogged in the venting. Use a vacuum attachment to clean the entire length of the venting pipe.
- 3). Use the spin cycle on your washer before placing heavy items like jeans or towels into the dryer. The less wet the clothes go into the dryer, the better job the LG dryer will be able to do.
- 4). Dry large items that tend to ball up separately. Items such as sheets and blankets will prevent the rest of the load from drying properly.
- 5). Dry a smaller load. If you have heavy items that are not drying well, try drying fewer items. You should only have one full basket of laundry in the dryer at a time. Many people tend to overload the dryer, thus causing the heavier items not to dry.
