- 1). Remove all extra assemblies and put them back into the box that the table came with; these assemblies include the hockey pucks, the hand pieces, the goal posts and anything else that came with the table. You may also use a crate or a plastic storage container. Putting these parts in their designated place will ensure hat everything will be easily accessible next time you play.
- 2). Unplug the table from the wall or other outlet. You don't want to move the table or attempt to fold it when it's still plugged in because you could damage the plug, outlet or table. If your table takes batteries, skip this step.
- 3). Turn the table onto its top so that the legs point upward toward the ceiling. Take the legs out. Some tables have legs that fold in. If yours has legs that fold in, fold the legs inward toward the table. It should be easy to do this. If not, don't force them. Get help or consult the instructions. You don't want to damage anything.
- 4). Fold the table. Most air hockey tables fold in half through the middle. This might be a little tricky because both sides are heavy. If you're lifting it alone, it's best to bring one side up and completely down on the other side. If you are getting help, it's easier to lift both sides up at once. Bring them together, then set the table down on one of its sides.
- 5). Store the table wherever you plan to keep it; this might be back in its original box or in a closet or corner. Make sure it's in a safe place so it won't get ruined and so no one sits on it or trips over it.
