Case 6: A Man Presenting With Leg Pain and Weakness
A 62-year-old right-handed man presented with leg pain and weakness. Two months previously, he experienced the onset of aching, gnawing pain in both his legs, particularly in his calves and thighs. He then developed a left foot drop and numbness on the lateral surface of the lower left leg and dorsum of the foot. A few days later, he experienced foot drop with numbness below the knee in his right leg. One month later, his right hand felt weak and numb, followed by the same symptoms in the left hand within a few days.
