- 1). Visit the Nada Guides website (nadaguides.com) to begin your search. At the top of the page select the "Boats" tab to continue on.
- 2). Select "Boats" under "Boat Pricing." If you are looking for the book value of personal watercraft such as jet skis or the value of a boat trailer select the correct link.
- 3). Click on the beginning letter of the manufacturer's name. Next, select the make and year from the generated list. Continue by selecting the exact model of the boat that you are researching. If you are uncertain, gather this information as it is critical in determining the correct book value.
- 4). Select the options and equipment that the boat has. For example, boats with fish finders, GPS, boat covers, and other extra items will have a greater value. Again, this is a crucial step to getting an accurate book value. Once you select all of these, continue by clicking "Get Used Value."
- 5). Review the "Low Retail" and "Average Retail" prices that are generated. Use this data along with other market research to wisely price your boat or make an offer on a used boat!
