How to Remove Dry Cat Vomit Stains

    • 1). Using your vacuum attachments, remove as much dry vomit from the surface of your carpet or furniture as possible.

    • 2). Pour club soda on the stain. Starting at the outer edges of the stain and working toward the middle, blot the stain with a clean white cloth.

    • 3). Rinse your cloth frequently with plain water, and apply more club soda to the stain, if needed. Continue to blot until no more stain transfers to your cloth.

    • 4). Press a clean, dry cloth onto the surface to wick out moisture from the club soda. Keep moving to a dry part of the cloth until no moisture remains.

    • 5). Cover the stain with baking soda. Let the baking soda remain in place overnight to remove odor and to dry out the surface.

    • 6). Vacuum up the baking soda, and sprinkle a liberal amount of pet odor neutralizer onto the spot. Leave the neutralizer on the spot for several hours so the enzymes can break down and absorb any remaining odor or bacteria.
