- 1). Purchase a stain remover intended for general household purposes. The brands carried by home improvement stores act as solvents that safely remove glues, adhesives and sticky residue from virtually any surface.
- 2). Ventilate the area and spray the instructed amount of stain remover onto the affected areas of the Plexiglas surface. Read the directions to verify how long the solvent needs to soak before removal.
- 3). Wipe the tape adhesive with a microfiber cloth until it begins to loosen. Apply more of the stain remover to help soften more stubborn areas.
- 4). Repeat the process until the residue is cleanly lifted from the surface. Follow up with a household glass cleaner for a thorough removal of any remaining tape film or solvent.
