- 1). Spread out the shirt you wish to fold on a flat surface.
- 2). Lay the cardboard on top of the shirt, in its center.
- 3). Use the ruler and pen to draw a rectangular shape on the cardboard that covers the area from the top edge of the shirt, down the sides and about 6 inches from the bottom edge. Basically, create a rectangle that is the size you want the folded shirt to be.
- 4). Cut the rectangle out of the cardboard and discard the extra pieces.
- 5). Draw a small elongated rectangle about 2 inches by 8 inches at the top, short edge of the cardboard cutout. This will be the handle by which you can pull the cardboard out of the folded shirt.
- 6). Poke a hole into this elongated rectangle with the pointed scissors and cut out the shape. Discard the cutout shape.
