The CF Flash Card Won't Go Back in the Camera

    • 1). Ensure the slot is unobstructed by any objects. If there is another memory card in the slot, eject it by pressing on the small, square tab to the right of the card slot.

    • 2). Remove any attachments connected to the card, such as adapters for other data connectors, such as PCMIA or USB. All CF card slots are designed for the bare card without any other attachments.

    • 3). Make sure the card slot in your device matches the type of CF card you have. If the card is too thick to slide into the card slot, your device has a Type I slot but your card is a Type II card. These are not compatible, so you will need to purchase a Type I card instead.

    • 4). Align the card properly by making sure the face of the card that has two rows of holes is pointed into the slot and the right side of the card is aligned with the square ejection tab. Slowly slide the card into the slot and press down to fully insert it.
