How to Restore the Navigation Bar at the Top of the Windows in XP

Turning on the Navigation Bar in Windows XP.

    • 1). Right-click "Start." From the pop-up window, choose "Explore."

    • 2). Click "View" on the Explorer menu bar.

    • 3). Hover your mouse pointer over "Toolbars" until a side menu pops out. Select "Standard Buttons" and "Address Bar." Your selections will be confirmed by a check mark appearing next to them. Selecting these two will populate the upper part of the XP Windows with the command buttons to navigate backward, forward and upward from file to folders, and will allow you to search and change the folder view with one mouse click. The Address Bar will allow you to find a file or folder by typing in the directory address.
