Five Network Marketing No No"s That Will Get You Pegged As A Doofus Right Out Of The Gate

If you're either new to Network Marketing or you're struggling in your current Network Marketing business, you'll want to pay close attention to this advice.
There are many ways to generate leads for your business, but there are correct or "ethical" ways to go about it and there are ways that will get you into trouble with your business pretty immediately.
Five of the biggest lead generating mistakes are as follows: Trying to pressure, convince and sell to friends and family is big no no #1.
If you're new, trust me and don't go there.
If you've been around for a while, you can testify to the fact that this tactic doesn't work.
I don't care what your upline tells you to do.
It's uncool, embarrassing, unethical and downright annoying.
It will put strain on your relationships and make you the target of what I like to call "the quick exit".
People will start to explain that "something's come up" when they see you coming, but you won't see them because they won't dare to make eye contact with you.
They'll be gone before you can get in a quick hello.
Don't be the laughing stock.
Don't make this mistake.
There is a tasteful way to discuss your business with friends and family.
Trying to sell them on it isn't the way.
No no #2 should be blatantly obvious if you've been in the industry for a while, and what you should avoid if you're new to the industry.
It's buying opportunity seeker leads from lead brokers and lead lists.
This is in my opinion one of the biggest wastes of money for trying to generate leads.
My experience with them has been painful, and I mean really ugly.
Lot's of hang ups, wrong numbers, disconnected numbers, people claiming they didn't fill out your form, etc.
You still may find a Network Marketer here or there that is OK with this method, but if you ask around, I'm certain most of them will tell you to steer clear.
No no #3 is selling your primary business opportunity up front to your potential leads.
You know the saying.
People don't want to be sold, but they love to buy.
Let your leads see the value that you offer first.
Your primary company should be introduced tastefully and certainly not on day one.
Trust me on this one.
I know it's backward from what you've been told, but it's vitally important to the survival of your business.
No no #4 is easily overlooked because the mistake can seem innocent.
It's spamming on social networks by sending out direct emails to people asking them to look at or join your business opportunity.
Again, nobody wants to be sold and they certainly don't want to be inundated with a bunch of email from you pushing your opportunity.
I'm telling you right now it's a turn off and people will remove you from their lists and you'll loose any chance you have of ever building a relationship with them.
If you haven't taken the time to build a relationship with your potential leads, you haven't earned the right to try and sell them on your primary business opportunity.
No no #5 is utilizing a corporate replicated website.
It's nice of the MLM Companies to put together a landing page and lead capture page for leads to opt into, but their significance is overrated, and their effectiveness is minimal to none.
There are also other issues with a corporate replicated website that you should be aware of.
First of all, the leads are not "yours".
Second and more importantly, that corporate replicated website says nothing about you, and in order to make an impact in this market place, you have to brand yourself, not your MLM.
Remember that people don't join MLM companies, they join people.
I've given you this information in hopes that you'll have a good grasp of what not to do when trying to generate leads for your business, and not make the mistakes I've made.
I've committed every sin out there and looking back, I wish I'd had someone to tell me what not to do before I had already done it.
My disclaimer, however, is that I didn't know any better.
I was told to do these things and I had no idea that they were "wrong" in any way shape or form.
