How to Remove Radio Avalanche

    • 1). Put the nylon pry bar between the dashboard and the bezel around the stock radio, on the outer edge. Pry the bezel away from the dash with the pry bar.

    • 2). Unbolt the climate controls from the dashboard using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Pull the climate controls away from the dashboard and unplug them from the harness coming from the dashboard.

    • 3). Remove the screws holding the stereo to the dashboard with the Phillips-head screwdriver. Place a hand on each side of the stereo and slide it out of the dash with both hands. Unplug all connections on the backside. Pull the stereo away from the Avalanche.
