If it takes 30 minutes for a drink to go from mouth to bladder then time your child's drink 45 minutes before you leave the house.
Always take your child to the bathroom before you leave the house.
There are many things that we do at the same time every day or every week; this is part of our routine.
You already work round meal, nap and other specific tasks just add potty times to this.
The extra planning will save you many accidents and make potty training a lot quicker.
So it takes a little extra thought to plan your day according to your child's potty training.
But it is well worth the effort to make sure that your child doesn't have frequent accidents.
You need to check out where the bathroom is as soon as you arrive at the mall or wherever you are going.
Take your child to the bathroom as soon as you arrive at any new location or if your child has not used the bathroom for more than half an hour.
Knowing where the bathrooms are will give you confidence and make you feel secure and able to run your errands and do everything you need to do.
Part of planning your day is watching what your child eats and drinks.
So be vigilant and remember how long it was since your child had their last drink.
