Chiropractic Marketing - How to Organize a Patient Appreciation Day

Organizing a Patient Appreciation Day is a fantastic way of thanking your patients while building your chiropractic practice.
The gift to your patients is allowing them to bring friends and family in for a free treatment at your office.
You don't need to spend a lot of money, just keep it simple but fun.
You can put simple decorations around the office and maybe have some energetic music playing.
Just be creative! Below you will find some tips on scheduling, marketing and planning your Chiropractic Patient Appreciation Day which can help you build your practice by leaps and bounds.
When Should You Schedule a Patient Appreciation Day? After you have had a Patient Dinner, you want to market your Patient Appreciation Day for the next two weeks.
We like to schedule ours on Mondays because when the new patients come in on Monday, I can do my Doctor's Report on Tuesday and Thursday.
Now you have a Tuesday opportunity and a Thursday opportunity to present patients with the Doctors Report in the same week after they've received their New Patient exam.
That way you won't lose people over the weekend.
Connect Your Patient Appreciation Day to a Theme You should always connect your Patient Appreciation Dinner to a theme.
We connect ours toholidays whenever we can.
We schedule ours once a month but when you're just opening, I would recommend scheduling one every eight weeks.
Give yourself breathing space when you first open because you're going to have a lot going on.
You want to have your office decorated on some level and you don't really have to do it on a big scale.
Also, have a couple of flyers and decorations hanging around so that patients understand that there is something exciting coming up.
Marketing Your Patient Appreciation Dinner (PAD) There are several different things you can to do to market your PAD:
  • Have posters up a week before announcing your PAD
  • Have flyers around the office announcing it
  • Have a video playing talking about it or an LED screen running
  • Have banners marketing your PAD inside and outside the office
  • Make your patients reserve their spot for the PAD over the phone
  • Have a dry erase board in the office that announces your upcoming events and workshops
Tie Your PAD into ALL Your Marketing Efforts You will want to tie your PAD into all the marketing for your practice.
You can tie it into your radio, your outside workshops, your community public relations, your newspaper ads.
You clan also give your patients stacks of flyers and have them pass them out at their work, church, clubs, schools, etc.
Be consistent.
When the patients come to expect that your PAD is going to happen every month, they will start asking you when the next one is.
On the day of your PAD you will start marketing the next one, so there is always a PAD that you are marketing.
You can schedule your events quarterly or a year in advance.
Print the dates up on cards and pass them out so your patients can anticipate the dates and can write them down in their calendars.
Your "Check-In" Person It is essential for you to hire a "Check-in-person" who is very friendly.
This person should not be timid, but someone who loves to connect with people and has an outgoing personality.
This person is the main engine that powers the event and gets everyone excited and having fun.
The hiring of this person is one of the most important decisions you will make.
