Ccsglobaltech Turns To Microsoft Sharepoint 2010

CCS Global Tech, a California based company, offers solutions and services that address business needs for Microsoft SharePoint, Business Intelligence (BI), Compliance, Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Data Mining and Analysis, Dash Boards and Reporting, Mobile Applications, and System-to-System Integrations.

Their clients had outgrown the mostly manual systems they used to create budgets, track financial and operational performance, making decision making difficult and affecting their client satisfaction.CCS helped its client in creating a custom solution based on Microsoft Business Intelligence technologies.
The client was in the finance domain which is an increasingly competitive region, requiring the client to make sure it can maintain its client base as well as its profitability. The client wanted to be sure it was making the best business and financial decisions possible to help its business. They continually reviewed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as net income, profits per capital partner, and billings. These KPIs were generated manually. The process was time consuming, involving more than about 40 personnel hours per month to enter data and generate reports and was subject to error, because it required keying of data.

The KPI reports were printed and distributed to the firms management. Beyond the time-consuming nature of distributing paper reportsand redistributing misplaced copies, the finance department had to get back and dig through the data to provide various answers.

CCS helped the client determine a technology platform for its new solution. It also helped to develop key elements like data warehouse, analysis and reporting tools through which the firms managers could access and work with financial and business KPI information. An Excel menu bar included a SharePoint menu item. Clicking a menu item gave the user access to the range of planning functions; accessing templates to view the reports.

Senior management could then access Office SharePoint Server to analyze the submissions based on custom algorithms and view detailed reports. When revisions were requested, managers could revise and resubmit their proposals in Office Excel to be reprocessed by Office SharePoint Server.

The KPI display and analysis system used Office SharePoint Server. Various KPIs like net profit, profit per capital partner, billings by various attorneys were created by CCS with its in-house capabilities. The KPI data was displayed via online dashboards and scorecards, and the users could click them to view the reports containing data from which the dashboards and scorecards were derived.
