How to Clean Bugs Off Schefflera Plants

    • 1). Move the plant to a bathtub or large utility sink.

    • 2). Wet a soft kitchen sponge with cool water, and lather it with 1 tbsp. mild dish detergent. A mild detergent will not contain dyes or perfumes.

    • 3). Wipe the schefflera plant with the soapy sponge, lifting the leaves and cleaning the undersides as well.

    • 4). Continue to clean the plant until all the leaves and stems are free of insects, dust, and other debris.

    • 5). Dampen a second soft kitchen sponge with cool water.

    • 6). Wipe the plant with the damp sponge to remove soap residue.

    • 7). Allow the plant to dry in the sink or bathtub before you move it back to its original spot.
