  If you're looking to get the student body involved in the homecoming parade, this type of float is definitely the way to go. Student-participation floats showcase a particular school group. The group can be as large as the junior class or as small as the chess club. Allow students to decorate the float to show off their group's pride, and encourage them to include some sort of homecoming flair, as well. This type of float is most easily done by performing groups like a cheerleaders, dance squads, glee clubs, or school bands, but can also be achieved by individuals or other groups that can organize a similar type of show to perform on the float.
